Police carry out huge controls as part of police training…

In an unusual appearance police were out on the streets in more than one location at a time this past week, carrying out traffic controls. The exercise is said to be part of a training work out for their new recruits according to a police spokesman. Some two dozen new cadets are currently in a training program preparing themselves to take up full service when graduated.

The controls will continue said police and motorist are advised to have all documents up to date as per traffic regulations for driving on the public roads. Some violations often overlooked by drivers are driving without seat belts and the use of hand held devices while driving. Fines were handed out by the trainees under the supervision of the more senior officers on location. With the dead line for new number plates fast approaching, the implementation of these controls will no doubt continue until further notice says police.
