It’s the first homicide so far for 2017 on St. Maarten. As Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting in Sucker Garden last Friday, an insider update says detectives have been carefull to consider all possibilities one of which seem to be concentrating on possible linkage to a string of murders involving a highly criminal ring that is seeking to eliminate players in what was described as a possible drug operation that went bad and a plot to get at all involved. The two victims may not have been involve in the chain of connnection but a family member of the 31 year old whom they are after could be the reason for the attack. The 23 year old female seem to have found herself in the wrong place with the right person at the right time to have been murdered. Police are not confirmimng a motive nor information as to who carried out the killing but is continuing their probe into the forensic evidence available to them from the crime scene and from those they have questioned. At the moment the killer or killers remain at large.
