Pregnant Serena in chic purple shows off her growing baby bump
Pregnant Serena Williams didn’t compete in Wimbledon this year – but she is commanding attention with her pregnancy as easily as she normally commands center court.
The 35-year-old world champion tennis player has been sharing snaps on Instagram during her time away from the sporting spotlight.
On Wednesday, she shared photos of herself beaming as she posed in a deep purple dress, showing her baby bump. Serena captioned her photo on Instagram with poster in background.
The poster in question showed the star in action on the tennis courts.
Serena also shared a close up selfie giving fans a closer look at her glowing completion and subtle pink lipstick. The tennis star is currently seven months pregnant with her first child.
She is expecting her baby with her fiancé, 34-year-old Alexis Ohanian – who is co-founder of the website Reddit. It is believed the pair would be getting married this autumn following the birth of their child.
Despite discovering she was pregnant at the start of the year, Serena went on to win the Australian Open after confirming her pregnancy with six tests.
In an interview with Vanity Fair this summer, Serena explained she was completely surprised by her happy news. “If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby, I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world,” she laughed.
“This is kind of how I am right now. This is happening sooner than later, and it’s going by so fast,” she added.
